Helix Mentorship STEAM Academy (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA), 64-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Helix Mentorship STEAM Academy upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season.
Next up, the Gators clash with the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) in a 5A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. St. Amant will attempt to upgrade on its 22-8 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 25-4 record after their 59-41 non-league win over Glen Oaks (Baton Rouge, LA).
