The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL) basketball nipped the visiting Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL), 52-45 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Huskies (19-9) will now prepare for their test against Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 20-8 record. In their last test, Clay-Chalkville was tipped by Mountain Brook (Birmingham, AL), 66-51, in a non-league test.
The Golden Gophers now own a 16-13 record. They play next when they travel to Tuscaloosa County for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1.
