Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI), 53-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Hope upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The Huskies travel to Cranston West (Cranston, RI) to play the Falcons in a Division 2 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Cranston West won 62-53 in their recent league bout against Coventry (Coventry, RI)

Next up, the Blue Wave play the Shea Raiders (Pawtucket, RI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 60-41 league win over Tiverton (Tiverton, RI).
