The Houghton Gremlins basketball team (Houghton, MI), was nudged 65-60 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI)

The Hematites now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iron Mountain for a Mid-Peninsula battle on Friday, February 2. Ishpeming will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 68-28 non-league win over North Central (Powers, MI). The Mountaineers record now stands at 14-0.

The Gremlins (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hancock (Hancock, MI). The Bulldogs come into the Western Peninsula battle with a 4-12 record.
