The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Iroquois/Lake Preston to 42 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lower Brule for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 1. Wessington Springs will battle a Sioux team coming off a 56-49 non-league win over Crow Creek (Stephan, SD). The Sioux record now stands at 9-6.
The (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, St. Mary prevailed over Deubrook (White, SD), 73-62, in a non-league contest.
