In their next game, the Gators meet the Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) in a 4A Region 4 match, on Thursday, February 1. Leake Central will attempt to move on its 9-12 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 21-5 record after their 85-57 league win over West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS).

With the defeat, Scott Central moves to 11-11 on the year. The Rebels travel to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Region 5 match on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 15-6. Bay Springs lost 80-58 in their recent non-league match against Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS)
