The Plainville Cardinals basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Russell Broncos to 58 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norton for a Mid-Continent contest on Friday, February 2. Plainville will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 59-50 non-league loss to Colby (Colby, KS). The Bluejays record now stands at 10-3.
The Broncos (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Oakley (Oakley, KS). The Plainsmen come into the Mid-Continent contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Oakley edged St. Francis (St. Francis, KS), 55-43, in a non-league contest.
