Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs (Sylvan Grove, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rock Hills Grizzlies (Mankato, KS), 45-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sylvan-Lucas upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Mustangs host Thunder Ridge (Kensington, KS) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Thunder Ridge lost 71-34 in their recent league bout against St. John's/Tipton Catholic (Beloit, KS)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Lakeside Knights (Downs, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Rock Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 59-50 non-league loss to Osborne (Osborne, KS).
