In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) basketball squad beat the host Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY), by a count of 66-58.
The Cardinals (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Raiders go into the District 48 outing with a 5-13 record. In their last outing, McCreary Central defeated Somerset (Somerset, KY), 58-55, in a non-league outing.
The Rockets now hold a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Madison Southern for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Rockcastle County will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 57-56 non-league loss to Jeffersontown (Louisville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 12-7.
