Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Tolman Tigers (Pawtucket, RI), 54-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rogers upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Johnston (Johnston, RI) to play the Panthers in a Division 2 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Johnston lost 67-64 in their recent league bout against Tolman (Pawtucket, RI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Tolman will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 59-30 league loss to St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI).
