The Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) basketball crushed the host Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI), 62-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Thunderbolts (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Portsmouth walloped Cumberland (Cumberland, RI), 63-48, in a non-league test.
The Sentinels now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Classical for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Smithfield will encounter a Purples squad coming off a 58-28 non-league loss to Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Purples record now stands at 2-8.
