The Mangum Tigers (Mangum, OK) basketball nipped the host Apache Warriors (Apache, OK), 40-38 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Navajo (Altus, OK). The Indians go into the Shortgrass test with a 18-5 record. In their last test, Navajo got by Cordell (Cordell, OK), 61-38, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Fletcher for a Caddo-Comanche test on Friday, February 2. Apache will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 87-24 non-league loss to Empire (Duncan, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-17.
