With the victory, Southern Valley improves its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Alma (Alma, NE) to play the Cardinals in a D1 District 9 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Alma won 56-37 in their recent league challenge against Arapahoe (Arapahoe, NE)

Next up, the Longhorns play the St. Patrick's Irish (North Platte, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Chase County will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Irish come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 39-28 non-league loss to Paxton (Paxton, NE).
