In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting South Charlotte Thunder Thunder basketball team scored a tight 49-46 triumph over the Covenant Classical Warriors.

In their next game, the Thunder meet the Arborbrook Christian Academy Falcons (Matthews, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 2. South Charlotte Thunder will attempt to move on its 7-15 season record.

With the defeat, Covenant Classical moves to 8-3 on the year. The Warriors host Woodlawn (Davidson, NC) to meet the Trailblazers in a non-league match on Friday, February 2.
