Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), 50-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dwight upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season. The Trojans host Seneca (Seneca, IL) to play the Fighting Irish in a Tri-County bout on Thursday, February 1. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 14-14. Seneca lost 57-27 in their recent league bout against St. Bede (Peru, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 19-4 record after their 45-21 non-league win over Clifton Central (Clifton, IL).
