Missouri High School Basketball - Elsberry thwarts Wellsville-Middletown

The Elsberry Indians (Elsberry, MO) basketball knocked off the visiting Wellsville-Middletown Tigers (Wellsville, MO), 44-34 in Tuesday's league test.
The Indians (13-6) will now prepare for their test against North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO). The Thunderbirds go into the Eastern Missouri test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, North Callaway notched a victory over Fayette (Fayette, MO), 56-41, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Sturgeon for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1. Wellsville-Middletown will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 41-37 league loss to New Franklin (New Franklin, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-9.
