The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies basketball team scored 81 points and held the visiting Hueytown Golden Gophers to 23 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Huskies now sport a 23-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Spain Park for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. Hewitt-Trussville will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 52-15 non-league loss to Hoover (Hoover, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 9-20.

The Golden Gophers (11-16) will now prepare for their contest against Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 16-12 record. In their last contest, Tuscaloosa County triumphed over Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL), 45-33, in a non-league contest.
