The Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) basketball felled the visiting Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD), 59-49 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD). The Sioux go into the B Region 6 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Lower Brule was beaten by Crow Creek (Stephan, SD), 46-43, in a non-league test.
The now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host St. Mary for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1. Iroquois/Lake Preston will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 65-55 non-league win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-6.
