Macksville Mustangs (Macksville, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting LaCrosse Leopards (LaCrosse, KS), 36-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Macksville upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Victoria (Victoria, KS) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Victoria won 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Ellinwood (Ellinwood, KS)

Next up, the Leopards play the Ness City Eagles (Ness City, KS) in a Central Prairie bout, on Friday, February 2. LaCrosse will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 54-37 non-league loss to Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS).
