Kentucky High School Basketball - Mayfield tipped by Lyon County

The Lyon County Lyons basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Mayfield Cardinals to 49 in the Lyons non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lyons now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crittenden County for a District 5 contest on Friday, February 2. Lyon County will meet a Rockets team coming off a 64-61 non-league loss to Christian County (Hopkinsville, KY). The Rockets record now stands at 12-9.
The Cardinals (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Graves County (Mayfield, KY). The Eagles enter the District 3 contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Graves County nudged Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY), 50-23, in a league contest.
