In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Northside Baptist Christian Lions (Mayfield, KY), by a count of 59-27.

The Bobcats (16-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cobden (Cobden, IL). The Appleknockers go into the South Egyptian outing with a 6-16 record. In their last outing, Cobden was crushed by Pope County (Golconda, IL), 58-13, in a non-league outing.

The Lions now hold a 1-4 record.
