Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bryan Station upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Commodores play the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Tates Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
