The Carlisle Chiefs basketball team (Axton, VA), was overwhelmed 81-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA)
The Gryphons now possess a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kenston Forest for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 1. New Covenant will confront a Kavaliers team coming off a 39-31 non-league loss to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA). The Kavaliers record now stands at 1-4.
The Chiefs (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA). The Caissons come into the battle with a 0-6 record.
