The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Albany Hornets (Albany, LA) and the host Loranger Wolves (Loranger, LA), observed Albany's basketball team overcome Loranger by a score of 56-43.

The Hornets (28-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA). The Green Wave come into the non-league challenge with a 21-5 record. In their last challenge, Ponchatoula defeated Hammond (Hammond, LA), 68-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA) in a 4A District 7 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Loranger will attempt to improve on its 9-24 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 16-12 record after their 60-54 league win over Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA).
