The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gainesville Bulldogs (Gainesville, MO) and the host Billings Wildcats (Billings, MO), observed Gainesville's basketball team knock off Billings by a score of 71-61.

The Bulldogs (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Sparta (Sparta, MO). The Trojans come into the Summit challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Sparta was knocked off by Willow Springs (Willow Springs, MO), 43-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Spokane Owls (Spokane, MO) in a Southwest Central challenge, on Monday, February 3. Billings will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record.
