Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples crushes Bridgeport Central

The Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) basketball crushed the visiting Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT), 67-39 in Thursday's league bout.

The Wreckers now possess a 12-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Bernard for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 1. Staples will play a Saints team coming off a 73-40 league win over East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Saints record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, Bridgeport Central falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host McMahon (Norwalk, CT) to play the Senators in a Fairfield County bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Senators go into the bout with a record of 3-4.
