The Holton Red Devils basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Crossroads Charter Academy Cougars to 24 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Red Devils now possess a 2-14 record. They play next when they travel to Western Michigan Christian for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Holton will confront a Warriors team coming off a 58-41 non-league win over Baldwin (Baldwin, MI). The Warriors record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Crossroads Charter Academy falls to 1-14 on the campaign. Defensively Bentley Freeman was amazing. He pulled down 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and was involved in several forced turnovers. He also had 3 assists and 3 steals. Wyatt Barringer shot 3 of 6 from behind the 3 point line. He scored 10 points with 5 rebounds. Pierce Ouellette added 7 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal. Caleb Hebert put up 5 points with 2 steals. Griffin Guernsey showed his floor leadership with 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 points.
