In Thursday's league test, the Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) basketball squad trounced the host Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas (Maricopa, AZ), by a final score of 64-38.

Next, the Yote clash with the Maryvale Prep Matador (Phoenix, AZ) in a 1A West test, on Tuesday, February 4. Desert Heights Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Matador come into the test with a 6-11 record after their 74-64 league win over Antelope (Wellton, AZ).

The Pumas (2-12) will now prepare for their test against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (Phoenix, AZ). The Roadrunners come into the 1A West test with a 7-14 record. In their last test, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf bounced Washington School for the Deaf (Vancouver, WA), 40-37, in a non-league test.
