The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) and the host DuVal Tigers (Lanham, MD), observed Laurel's basketball team knock off DuVal by a score of 77-69.

The Spartans (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Flowers (Springdale, MD). The Jaguars come into the Prince George's County 4A challenge with a 12-1 record.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Parkdale Panthers (Riverdale, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. DuVal will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record.
