The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) and the visiting Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE), observed Johnson County Central's basketball team overwhelm Fairbury by a score of 70-46.

The Thunderbirds (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Palmyra (Palmyra, NE). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-13 record. In their last challenge, Palmyra was routed by Elmwood-Murdock (Murdock, NE), 74-65, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Jeffs encounter the Tri County Trojans (DeWitt, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Fairbury will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 55-53 non-league loss to Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE).
