In Thursday's league contest, the host Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles basketball team scored a good 83-71 triumph over the Yellow Medicine East Sting.
The Eagles (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Hancock (Hancock, MN). The Owls go into the non-league contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Hancock was topped by Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (Fergus Falls, MN), 67-61, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Sting battle the Wabasso Rabbits (Wabasso, MN) in a A Section 3 contest, on Monday, February 3. Yellow Medicine East will attempt to better on its 2-18 season record. The Rabbits go into the contest with a 11-9 record after their 76-70 non-league loss to New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN).
