Washington High School Basketball - Lakewood triumphant over Mt. Baker

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) and the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), observed Lakewood's basketball team overwhelm Mt. Baker by a score of 79-40.
The Cougars (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA). The Lyncs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 16-2 record. In their last challenge, Lynden Christian was routed by Lynden (Lynden, WA), 66-56, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mountaineers encounter the Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Monday, February 3. Mt. Baker will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 59-56 league win over Blaine (Blaine, WA).
