Nebraska High School Basketball - Sutton nips Sandy Creek

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Sutton Mustangs basketball team scored a close 45-40 triumph over the Sandy Creek Cougars.

The Mustangs (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE). The Wolverines go into the non-league contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Wilber-Clatonia nipped Milford (Milford, NE), 53-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Sandy Creek will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 13-4 record after their 55-53 non-league win over Tri County (DeWitt, NE).
