Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon thwarts New Castle

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) and the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), observed Mt. Vernon's basketball team knock off New Castle by a score of 42-25.
The Marauders (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Yorktown (Yorktown, IN). The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Yorktown was knocked off by Carroll (Fort Wayne, IN), 43-23, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. New Castle will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
