The Butternut Midgets basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Cornell Chiefs to 55 in the Midgets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Midgets now possess a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Lake Holcombe for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Butternut will confront a Chieftains team coming off a 35-30 league loss to Prairie Farm (Prairie Farm, WI). The Chieftains record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Cornell falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Flambeau (Tony, WI) to confront the Falcons in a Lakeland - East game on Friday, January 31. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 5-8. Flambeau won 40-35 in their recent league game against Bruce (Bruce, WI)
