The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) and the visiting Clinch Wildcats (Eidson, TN), observed Thomas Walker's basketball team overwhelm Clinch by a score of 51-14.
The Pioneers (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against J.I. Burton (Norton, VA). The Black Raiders come into the Cumberland challenge with a 13-1 record. In their last challenge, J.I. Burton trounced Holston (Damascus, VA), 58-11, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the White Academy Knights (Harrogate, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Clinch will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
