In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Eastside College Prep Panthers basketball team scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Mountain View Academy Mustangs.

The Panthers (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Mercy (Burlingame, CA). The Bears go into the West Bay - Skyline contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Mercy was tipped by Crystal Springs Uplands (Hillsborough, CA), 34-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Mid-Peninsula Dragons (Menlo Park, CA) in a Private School - North contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Mountain View Academy will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 4-10 record after their 36-16 league win over East Palo Alto Academy (East Palo Alto, CA).
