In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Inter-City Baptist Chargers basketball team scored a close 51-49 triumph over the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds.

The Chargers (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lutheran Northwest (Rochester Hills, MI). The Crusaders go into the Michigan Independent - Blue contest with a 8-4 record.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI) in a Downriver contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Edsel Ford will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record.
