Kansas High School Basketball - Halstead bests Maize

The Halstead Dragons basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Maize Eagles to 26 in the Dragons non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Dragons now possess a 11-0 record. They play next when they travel to Valley Center for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Halstead will confront a Hornets team coming off a 50-33 non-league win over Circle (Towanda, KS). The Hornets record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Maize drops to 3-7 on the year. The Eagles travel to Salina Central (Salina, KS) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 6-6. Salina Central lost 66-27 in their recent league match against Andover (Andover, KS)
