In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Lanesboro Burros basketball team scored a big 77-51 win over the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals.
The Burros (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Southland (Adams, MN). The Rebels come into the A Section 1 contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Southland smashed Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN), 64-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Rushford-Peterson Trojans (Rushford, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Lewiston-Altura will attempt to better on its 8-16 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 12-9 record after their 59-33 league win over Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN).
