In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Nenana Lynx basketball team scored a close 28-27 triumph over the Metlakatla Chiefs.
With the victory, Nenana betters its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Nunamiut (Anaktuvik Pass, AK) to confront the Amaguq in a non-league contest on Thursday, February 6. The Amaguq go into the contest with a record of 3-6.
In their next game, the Chiefs confront the Cordova Wolverines (Cordova, AK) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Metlakatla will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 35-31 non-league loss to Lumen Christi (Anchorage, AK).
