In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Pipestone Arrows basketball team scored a close 51-44 win over the Minneota Vikings.
The Arrows (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Cardinals come into the AA Section 3 contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Redwood Valley edged Windom (Windom, MN), 87-63, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Yellow Medicine East Sting (Granite Falls, MN) in a A Section 3 contest, on Friday, January 31. Minneota will attempt to better on its 13-10 season record. The Sting come into the contest with a 8-12 record after their 67-47 league loss to Lakeview (Cottonwood, MN).
