The Shawnee Mission South Raiders basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Topeka Trojans to 51 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Raiders now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Olathe North for a Sunflower game on Tuesday, February 4. Shawnee Mission South will confront a Eagles team coming off a 47-35 non-league win over Carthage (Carthage, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Topeka falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Emporia (Emporia, KS) to confront the Spartans in a Centennial game on Tuesday, February 4. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 1-8. Emporia 0-0 in their recent non-league game against Heights (Wichita, KS)
