In Thursday's league test, the Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN) basketball squad knocked off the host South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN), by a score of 51-38.

Next, the Hatchets encounter the Southridge Raiders (Huntingburg, IN) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 7. Washington will attempt to improve on its 21-2 season record. The Raiders come into the test with a 12-9 record after their 30-16 league loss to Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN).

The Rebels (10-12) will now prepare for their test against Forest Park (Ferdinand, IN). The Rangers come into the non-league test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, Forest Park went down by North Posey (Poseyville, IN), 44-37, in a league test.
