The Hickory Red Tornadoes basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Freedom Patriots to 42 in the Red Tornadoes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Red Tornadoes now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to St. Stephens for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Hickory will confront a Indians team coming off a 41-40 league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Indians record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Freedom falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 3-11. Hibriten lost 50-41 in their recent non-league game against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
