In Monday's non-league match, the host Lightridge Bolts basketball team scored a good 57-40 triumph over the Brentsville District Tigers.
With the defeat, Brentsville District moves to 1-11 on the year. The Tigers host Skyline (Front Royal, VA) to face the Hawks in a Northwestern match on Tuesday, February 1. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 10-6. Skyline lost 65-40 in their recent league match against Monroe (Stanardsville, VA)
