Florida High School Basketball - Berkeley Prep trounces Mitchell

January 31, 2023: New Port Richey, FL 34655

The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) basketball crushed the host Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL), 69-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Buccaneers (19-2) will now prepare for their test against Tampa Prep (Tampa, FL). The Terrapins go into the non-league test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, Tampa Prep was routed by Tampa Catholic (Tampa, FL), 84-48, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Mitchell moves to 15-9 on the year. The Mustangs host Cypress Creek (Wesley Chapel, FL) to meet the Coyotes in a non-league match on Friday, February 3. The Coyotes enter the match with a record of 9-15. Cypress Creek lost 68-62 in their recent non-league match against Middleton (Tampa, FL)
