Edgewood Cougars (Trenton, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Valley View Spartans (Germantown, OH), 60-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Edgewood upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Cougars host Mt. Healthy (Cincinnati, OH) to clash with the Fighting Owls in a Southwest Ohio bout on Friday, February 3. The Fighting Owls go into the bout with a record of 4-16. Mt. Healthy lost 62-60 in their recent non-league bout against Hughes (Cincinnati, OH)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Franklin Wildcats (Franklin, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Valley View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 65-47 non-league loss to Thurgood Marshall (Dayton, OH).
