In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Elyria Catholic Panthers (Elyria, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Steele Comets (Amherst, OH), by a count of 86-63.
The Panthers (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Fairview (Fairview Park, OH). The Warriors go into the Great Lakes outing with a 8-9 record. In their last outing, Fairview smashed University School (Hunting Valley, OH), 87-80, in a non-league outing.
The Comets now hold a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Avon Lake for a Southwestern outing on Friday, February 3. Steele will clash with a Shoremen squad coming off a 70-48 non-league win over Buckeye (Medina, OH). The Shoremen record now stands at 15-2.
