In Tuesday's non-league outing, the First Baptist School Hurricanes (Charleston, SC) basketball squad felled the visiting Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC), by a margin of 75-61.
The Hurricanes (16-4) will now prepare for their outing against Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC). The Chargers go into the SCISA AAAA Region III outing with a 7-15 record. In their last outing, Northwood Academy was beaten by Christian Academy (Myrtle Beach, SC), 70-49, in a non-league outing.
The Skyhawks now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Heathwood Hall Episcopal for a SCISA AAAA Region I outing on Friday, February 3. Hammond will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 60-42 league loss to Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-17.
